Taking down the Etruscan League
Any quick suggestions for taking down the Etruscan League fairly quickly? I always seem to have it done by 10 turns but not fast enough to my liking.

Eh, you can do it without cheesing it like that. Turn 1, combine your armies near Rome about as much as seems reasonable, send one of the legions to the border, recruit a bunch of hastati. Turn 2, use it to take Velathri, knocking out any Etruscan army on the way (buy mercenaries first if you're feeling shaky about it). Turn 3, replenish your casualties, maybe recruit another hastati. Use your second nearby legion to cover Neapolis. Turn 4 or 5 go for Arminium (it may take you a couple turns to make the trip, I forget). At the same time switch your small legion over to Velathri.

I suppose you can take Alalia in another 4 turns but that part is dicier because of navies and it's just going to depend on what's out there. I don't usually rush it and I spend several turns consolidating instead.

I do the same as bbolto except i go for Arminium first.Alalia is not on my list as i play with a United Carthage Mod.

You can take out their towns in Italy on legendary within 3 turns and then maybe another 2 to take out alalia

I've managed by turn 6, lured thier huge army from corsica into the sea and defeated while landing an army to take the island. took a few turns to re-arm and prep and it's turn 13, off to Carthage. Now the question is. Do I go straight to Africa after I nab Sardinia & Sicily, or go to Iberia. :P

If it helps you decide, Africa is the richest province in the game if you build it right (all commerce) :reexcited:

Well iv never tried doing it as fast as I can but I could do it a lot faster than that
