Socii Hastati any good?

I never use them and with a Unlimited Army mod I would actually use them for garrison because of their upkeep price. Better than using Vigiles right?

they are indeed better than Vigiles. From what I know they are farely equal to standard Hastati

If your faction has the -50% upkeep when playing Rome, you might as well use them instead of hastati, much cheaper and they're only slightly worse.

I play with mods,hence its hard to give you correct information.Look at their states to see which one is right for you.Mr bear is right if upkeep is less but you can not up grade them to legionary as with hastatis.

@OP, did you read the unit stats? This way you can determine far easier & much quicker........ ;-)

They are only just worse than standard Hastati, but if you're playing as the Junii - I think; that have -50% auxilia upkeep; then they more than make up for their slightly lower stats.
