I've just been wondering and I think it would be cool if someone made onee just to convert the roman faction armor and equipment

Kinda impossible, as if you see, 99% of the unit mods are made by armors that are in teh game. Making such armos like in Ryse, would require a total new armor custom made in the files... Doubt that will ever happen

This mod gives for example legionary cohort more unity to their equipment. So they will all wear segmentata rather a mix of that and hamata.

I am dreaming much more than armor. Such as a TPS - RTS hybrid game like the fact you control a character(maybe the king or agents) in TPS mode and at the same time you control the whole faction in Total War mode. When doing agency we would control our agents in TPS(Assassin's Creed style) and for other things we use Total War style.
