This is kinda True, but can be wrong.
or you can just pick 2 unit with the same rank, and let them Marry/Merge each other with Ctrl+M.
it will keep the rank, while replenish one of the unit,so the unit that get the men out will have a lower rank,it's better than having both of them decrease in rank.
thanks, youd think i would know if the ranks changed due to losses since ive played 500hrs, lmao
Same here, good luck and enjoy!
yea i had decent replenishment in the area i was fighting but i guess i just lost to many soldiers for me to keep the ranks, some of my legionaries went from glod to bronze after a couple of battles back to back without a break replenishment, barely won against 7 armies with my 3 max ranked legions, i think overall i had 1000 men left accross 3 armies and the enemy had 500 between the 2 remaining armies they had left, i hate fighting the barbarian factions they can spam armies with barly 2 settlements but i have over 10 and i can hardly maintain 5 armies
True, sometimes I merge units and replace vacant spot with merc unit, since AI may attack and try to retake town. If no danger of counter-attack, I let them replenish, as I may not be able to recruit exact replacement type in that town for several turns.
i usually rotate armies back to my home province for who ever im playing as if they drop below 50% effectivness so that i can upgrade and replace battered units or just let them replenish
Good point, depends on how you set up recruitment center locations and rotate troops.
Never considered that.. I really have to change my battle style then. Certain troops always have way more casualties then the rest.
I keep a champion / hero imbedded in the army, who acts as trainer for both the army itself and replacements. Make sure you select traits / skills / household for both him and the general to support experience increase, as well as army traditions. Can't imbed champion in navy, but can select same as above for admiral and navy. Since have a limit on number of champions (unless using a mod), I spread them out.
