Factions with the most Versatile Unit Rosters?
Can anyone tell me some Factions that has almost a Complete Set of Units (Spears,Swords,Pikes,Melee Cavalry,Missile Cavalry,Archers,Skirmishers).
by any means the factions that has at least 3 units that serves the same purpose.
Rome Auxillary and Mercenaries must be excluded.
Slingers is not my Favorite to use,due to "Somewhat" Slow Firing Rate, and damage, but still useful in early game due to morale.

Well there's Rome, but you said excluding Auxilliaries.

Several of the Successor States have diverse rosters, such as:

Egypt: http://www.honga.net/totalwar/rome2/faction.php?l=en&v=rome2&f=rom_ptolemaics&i=

and

Seleucids: http://www.honga.net/totalwar/rome2/faction.php?l=en&v=rome2&f=rom_seleucid&i=

and

Baktria: http://www.honga.net/totalwar/rome2/faction.php?l=en&v=rome2&f=rom_baktria&i=

Not sure if they meet your exact criteria, but they do have a wide selection of options.

You can check all of the unit rosters, and much more besides here:

Hope that helps.

All the Best,

Welsh Dragon.

I Checked all of them,and I think:

1.Egypt
Good Swords
Nice Missiles
Nice Pikes
Average Cavalry
Bad Spears
Easy Starting Position
Too Much Foods

2.Seleucid
Everything is Perfect But they have 3 Military Recruitment Building, instead of 2.
Their Starting position are a perfect prey for a lot of Satrapies went to war against you.

3.Baktria
Pretty much one of my Favorite Factions,so I just got bored playing as them.

Baktrian Peltast is Sexy.

It depends on your mods and game play.Seleucides are my choice. The question you have to answere. Is it worth building 2 cavalry buildings since in my game they have same units i think called royal cavalary barracks produce only one extra unit?

Try 1 of the thousands of unit mods & create your own ;-)

Silver,

In GC, Good comments above by other responders, and will try to add without repeating. I have enjoyed playing as following Greek factions: Massilia, Syracuse, Seleucids, Cimmeria, Athens, and currently Macedon. Each has own challenges, hostile neighbours, starting position, and economy.

Cimmeria has strong infantry, heavy archers*, missile cavalry (horse archers*), artillery*, and navy but weak on heavy cavalry, requiring you to pick up mercs or mods in this area. See attached link for Cimmeria.

Edit: *made 3 changes

I use sebidees unit mods+ some tweaks of my own. I aim for some kind of balance so all rosters are pretty decent atm. But in terms of versatility, gotta say successor kingdoms are strong, even in vanilla. Pikemen seem little too strong in this game imo compared to rome 1.

Happened some days ago that i forgot to activate phalanx for my silver shield pikemen, and i didnt even notice it for a few minutes lol, they were holding very well even with their swords only against some middle class spear and sword units..i think they should have seperate attack skill for sword and for spear like in rome 1 where pikemen melted pretty fast when caught off formation or flanked.

Carthage has a pretty good roster pool to choose from.

Suebi tribes also have most of what you're looking for.

Armenia and Pontus also aren't bad, but they start in a crap place so...

The Getae might be worth considering, they at least one of every kind of units you mentioned except pikes: http://www.honga.net/totalwar/rome2/unit.php?l=en&v=rome2&f=rom_getae.
