Anyone come across the art competition quest? I can't seem to get above a 13 or so, the competition gets all 20s. Not sure what the best approach is.

So I've been trying to find a text quest. Are they littered throughout the universe, or do you have to choose 'text quest' from the main menu? I'm confused!?

They're government missions

I just keep on getting normal missions from governments so far. I'm guessing I just haven't found the right planet yet?

its not about planet, its random.

Yeah. It's a bit hairy, but here's how I did it.

The first picture has to be done in a very short amount of time. I chose primitivism and "quick, but accurate" on all components.

Second one has plenty of time, so I went for surrealism and took the maximum amount of time on each component.

By now, there should only be one artist with a better score than you. You can pick his pockets between rounds 2 and 3, and if you succeed in stealing his...err...recreational drugs, his next work will fail, more or less moving him out of the competition.

Third picture once again has plenty of time, so you can go for maximum accuracy.

I can't do the pirate rank up mission where you have to get the information about the prison transport's departure time. I'm down to the information panel, and 5430 is what it says is written on it, but it's not working. Does anybody know the trick, or is this just a really annoying bug? This whole sequence is a bit much.

Edit: Ok nevermind, I figured it out, that was a tricky one, I expect a lot of people are going to be very stumped on this one :P

I got it once...but the funny thing is I forgot the order after doing it.
I do remeber this though, my last two wires cut were red then black.

I think I followed the order of the colors presented for every other color (either down, or reverse), for everything else. But I tried again, and failed (using down), so next time i'll try reverse.

I got the idea to cut red then black last reading some hollywood bomb plot memes (cut this, then that wire)....i searched for on the internet heh...hope the NSA wasn't snooping my goolge searches lol. The colors vary a bit, but there's always a red and black wire.

I was wondering this myself, and there's actually a hidden hint before the race, in a specific paragraph of dialogue you can choose, the 5 colors are highlighted in the paragraph of text in the order they should be cut.

Is there a way to reset the text quest when you play a new game (i.e, if i remember correctly when you start a new game it still remembers which quest has been done and does not give them to you again).

You are wrong, each new game you can play all the text quests.

As far as I know those text missions are rare 'cause most of the people dislike them, 'cause they're boring for most of the gamers, but, since we have people like you it's not that boring anymore. You get these missions like once after 10 missions or so, every 10th mission is like this, or maybe 15th, not sure about this. Maloqs and Pelengs don't usually give missions like that, Gaals, Feis, Humans would more likely give you those missions, also not sure about this but it seems so.

Every text quest has its own requirements (player race, character type and so on). If you match them, getting the quest is fully random - you can get a simple task, or a quest.

Does that mean that some text quests are blocked because you don't have the necesary requirments?
