Dealing with Dominators

So i have a ♥♥♥♥ 737 hull 5 weapons, pretty good gear all in all. Right now im pretty low rank just flying around doing delivery missions to get money and buy new stuff. The pirates attack me in large numbers even if I order a military operation, or they run away if i engage one on one. So im trying to kill dominators to rank up. WHen I go into a domintor system there are a ton of them and i cant even kill one without all of them raping me. So how do i deal with them?

First thing I would do is go to a medical center and get gallian alacrity and/or maloq shiza. Those will boost your combat skills, which are very important for survivability. In dominator systems I usually pick a direction and lead them behind me, slowing only for the fastest one and keeping him in my weapon range. Early in your career missile turrets can help a lot. Get at least 3 and kill as many as you can until you need to retreat the sector for a reload.

An alternative is to hire another ship that has a slow ray. It'll help you take down those fleeing pirates.
In one game, I was in a similar situation. You CAN win, if you just keep killing one pirate ship per invasion and then booting

You can join in on invasion or defence against the pirates or dominators.
You stay as long as your side has the strength to survive and keep grabbing loot, then boot it as soon as your side starts losing.

Every time i boot to another systeam to heal up or reload, they respawn by the time i get back. You could go to the business center and invest in military fleet for the planet. Those military can be used in the military operation. Last time i ordered military operation, there was 12 military with a mix of normal military with my paid made military. On top of that with 2 ranger under my wing. The pirates just flew the coop lol.

The problem with then running is that they will shortly organize and attack another random system nearbye.

The only real way to win against pirates is to take out one ship per invasion. Idealy, take out the single most powerful pirate ship per pirate encounter.

In the beginning just go with the military dummy! The military and other races launches attack against dominator systems! Help them! Pick your battles and you can easily wipe the floor with them with AI help and reap all the good rewards :)
