Finished the game but struggling with the collectables

I had a 29.9% game completion when I came to the end of the story. So lots of stuff left to collect.

But I'm really struggling to work out what I need and how to do it !! Yes, I've tried watching videos, but that just leaves me more confused at the moment.

So I'll start by asking how you destroy the shiny objects. What character can do that?

I also don't really understand what's behind all the blacksmith crafting & design blueprints. I think we did it in possibly the very first chapter, but then I've never done it since !!

Idk if you have to restart or there is chapter select but you will have to just run each level/area again with the proper character selected. Maybe there are some coop only sections too idk I just started 10 minutes ago lol.

The shiny objects need explosives to break them.

You can use either Mithril Fireworks or the Berserker character. I think the Mithril Fireworks design is at Barad-ur in Mordor, and the Berserker character is at Helm's Deep in Rohan.

Yeah, I got Berserker, thanks. I came across him by chance. Think he was quite expensive, but is obviously well worth it. Actually, apart from the base characters you get from the story he's the only other one I've actually used in free-roam. I spend most of my time with Gimli and Legalos equipped.

I think I'm getting there with the blacksmith and crafting. I'm actually quite enjoying just doing free roam and finding new areas. But it is such a 3 or 4 stage effort to complete each task. First you have to find the character to get the quest from them. Then you need to go get the blueprint. Then head to the blacksmith to make the item. Finally you can return to the character with required item. It's just such a long winded process.

Fast travel by using the map points saves a great deal of time

Best if you complete the story, then start working towards the extra stuff
