Anybody here seen Alien Romulus? I quite enjoyed it myself, I thought it was a great Alien film

In my opinion a good entry in the series. Maybe even top 3. Have to see it a few more times. Some great scenes but some stuff was bad too. Like that one terrible CGI effect on one of the characters (you probably know which I mean if you've seen it).

I know, right!!!!! That was horrible. Looked better on the little screens but otherwise...ick!!!!

Its a mystery to me how anyone involved in making the film approved that for the release :D

i last played Alien: Isolation in 2014 and Romulus brought me back to this game. i've bought another copy on PC after owning it on PS4 to relive that gameplay. i remember loving it more than any horror game and i'm not even a fan of horror. you couldn't get me to finish any RE game but this game was just the right amount of suspense and gameplay.

I knew what the ending would be as soon as the one character's certain trait (You guys know what I'm talking about) was revealed to the main character, but it was still a blast to watch. There were references to pretty much every Alien movie inside it, definitely worth the watch in IMAX.

It was okay, just hoped for more gore and horror. Like, I had eaten all my popcorn before anything special had even happened and then I just felt bad. Although I have to admit it made me watch the older alien movies (in wrong order, don't shoot. And I'm still going through them) because believe me or not I don't think I've ever watched those (again, do not judge).
Also made me want to play this game again but I ended up in my game library and it was just a massive how about no when I remembered how scary this game is. I never did finish the dlc's though...

This makes me sad that your first experience was derivative drivel, when the film Alien has existed since 1979 - one of the greatest films of all time.

Alien was a great movie, and definitely the best movie in the franchise. but it isn't some kind of high art like you're making it out to be. Nostalgia glasses can be powerful. As a huge fan of the series I went into this with no expectations and having read nothing about the movie, and I enjoyed it thoroughly. There's a reason it's absolutely killing it at the box office, and many, many fans are calling it the best Alien film since Aliens.
