Romulus sucked.
Terrible, an awful movie, it is a parody of Alien.

i thought Romulus was great with the exception of one scene... "Get away from her you... ♥♥♥♥♥", I physically recoiled in my seat, if they didn't add that bit, it could have been so much better. Appreciate they let Mark Zuckerberg cameo at the end of the movie also.

The movie works well endorsing a younger 'rat-pack' for the story-line. The ratings were high from IMDB if that's a baseline for perusal. Scripting fits well with the acting and tempo progression. Photography (camera) excellent as were the special effects editing. A good chapter in the genre.

To the original poster: I cannot understand how in one simple and quite silly sentence you can lead a post (which has nothing to do with this game) just to troll for comments and your little steam awards. I think you may have homework to do!:steambored:

Sucks
The acting was so bad it was hard to tell who the real synthetic was.

That pulse rifle scene was good fun though.

I loved Romulus because it brought back the original look of spaceships and their interiors and creepy feel of the movie instead of an action thriller. the acting was great I can understand some font like an all young cast and that chav character.

Oh yeah, lets not forget the stupidity of a poor worker, some how having a Android.

Except it literally explains this in the film... lol. Rain's father found Andy broken and in the trash (worthless) and was able to repair him, hence why he has issues.

While I don't see what it has with this to do but..

Yeah, Alien Romulus was atrocious.
Proved to me that the series is creatively braindead.

The only part I enjoyed was Rook. I hated the main cast, I kept expecting them to break out into cockney accents. Every last one of them was unlikable except, again, the Android. They managed to turn the "blue field" into a thing that now Alien hives do which is DUMB. And Alien incubation is now inevitable and happens like if everyone was playing Aliens vs Predator 2 in Multiplayer - in mere minutes as opposed to hours and even if you remove one, you're still doomed like in Covenant.

It's dumb. It's so, so dumb.

But hey, if you liked it... More power to you.
I hated it.

And it only serves to annoy me since we never got that Star Trek x Aliens Crossover comic.
At least that name would had fit better then as Romulus.

Oh "worthless" yet is able to fully function to walk around and talk.. Perform tasks.. Gets updated to basically become a fully functioning corporate Android.. You think someone who doesn't even have the funds to even feed themselves nearly, would be allowed to have that with them?
Lets not forget the fact if he is considered "malfunctioning" how much of a actual LIABILITY it would be to have him walking around normally. You guys will do ANYTHING to defend bad writing, if its the franchise you love. Have better standards.

What we want we can never really see: until it's placed there before you in a reality you're unsure you could deny.

To me, Alien movies are full of inconsistencies of all kind, but I don't mind it that much as long as the movie is entertaining and of good quality. What bothered me about the Romulus though is that the main characters are just a bunch of forgettable teenagers. Because of that it 1) feels like a movie for a younger audience, not really for adults , 2) does not make me care about them and what happens to them, because the movie does a very poor job in presenting them in a likable way.
I watched Alien 4 lately and I think it is a good movie to compare it to Alien Romulus in this context. Just look at how characters in Alien Resurrection were introduced, how unique and interesting each person of Betty's crew is compared to how bland and boring characters are in Romulus.
