It also makes the Aliens far weaker than they really are, even the Cameron Aliens from 'Aliens' could put up a good fight. AvP just overpowers the Predators. When examining both franchises, the Predator is clearly far weaker than an Alien. The only thing the Predator has going for it is the Plasma Caster. Honestly, if James Cameron didn't make the original Alien killable then the AvP franchise probably wouldn't exist.
Im sure you mean ridley scott
btw. I hate predators cus they allways blow themselfs at the end.
and I also feel guilty for buying a movie ticket when AvP hit the cinemas -.-'
but seriously.. it is dumb to expect the Predator to show up in everything that involves the Xenomorph just because there has been (and likely will be more) Alien Vs Predator content.
Essentially, AVP would only work if universe is set in the Alien universe, where spaceships and hostile aliens are already a reality. The movies made the mistake of trying to set it in present day Earth as a neutral ground for both franchises. and as a result, already requires suspension of disbelief right from the start.
I wouldn't want the Predator in an Alien game. We've had plenty of Aliens games, even the ones title Alien vs Predator were based around Aliens. This is the first Alien game, and with Isolation having reestablished the alien as killing machine to be feared, putting in the Predator would just cheapen its value. Heck, I'm not even sure I want to see an alien queen in the sequel, since Isolation so successfully made you dread one single adult xenomorph. It's the core Alien experience.
multiple Predators chase a half naked, mud covered Amanda Ripley through Sevastopol Station.
I lol'd at this, thank you.
If you liked that, check the "refunt" thread in Dying Light. It is awesome. It reminds me of the woman in "Dude where is my car" where they order food at the fast food joint.
They are called Yautja and exist within the same universe of Alien.
