You can use CHEAT ENGINE with an appropriate cheat table to make the alien simply ignore you. CE however requires circumventing Windows Defender and any other antivirus/antimalware programs *edit* *for the installation process only*. *edit*
The CE developer has chosen to include adware in his installer. It's not part of the CE program itself though so once installed it's fine. Also, the nature of CE can cause some A/V programs to otherwise overzealously remove it. You must whitelist it and it's folder to remove it being removed without permission or even prompt.
Alternatively, there is a program called Cinematic Tools which is forked on GitHub to be used with OpenCAGE. IT has an option to make the alien and other NPCs either ignore the player and even make contact w/o being affected.
Cinematic Tools too however can false-trigger Windows Defender and be removed without prompt or permission. There's no malware it's just the fact that it injects code into memory of a running program. Heuristics of modern AV/Antimalware programs will see this as virus/malware/potentially unwanted program(PuP)-like programs and must be white listed to prevent arbitrary removal and/or program launch prevention.
OpenCAGE should not trigger A/V programs. Matt Filer has paid the fees to register it with Microsoft as a legitimate program. (On a side note Matt Filer is soon to be employed by
Feral Interactive who made the Switch and iOS ports of A:I amongst other programs)
OpenCAGE and Cinematic Tools as well as Cheat Engine are available from GitHub.
I will endorse OpenCAGE as it's a great tool. Search for Matt Filer's GitHub.
