Talking to NPC's
Why do Devs think ppl who buy FPS games are interested in finding and talking to NPC's?

Isn't that an RPG attribute?

Call me an ADHD miscreant but I find it personally frustrating and boring when all I require is action.

Uhmm... I don't remember... What NPC you had to find and talk to in this game?
None. There aren't any NPC's to optionally talk to.

So what's the point of the thread?

One NPC actually gives you a passcode - But you can optionally get into that room with the Ion torch...

I know there are NPCs and that you can have "a conversation" with them. I don't understand at what point in the game uou had to "find and talk to an NPC" and why it's such a problem, as the OP states. In other words, WTF is this thread moaning about?

You might just as well ask: Why do you think survival horror games are FPS games? ;)

I'm not asking, it's quite obvious to anyone that it's a rhetorical question.

Following your logic I may as well ask: Is it a movie with action or an action movie?

Weird response. OK, I'll try again. This game isn't an FPS.

I'm surprised anyone can find the super-minimal level of conversation in this game about Isolation over the top, frankly, but this is an extension of the story of a movie that involves people. There is going to be some appropriate narrative to it.

NPC's are the non player combatants including those on your side. One of the designations for a software generated artificial intelligence unit or BOT if you like.

NPC means this: Non-player controlled.

I know it's nitpicking, but NPC has never meaned non player combatant..

I know what NPCs are. I don't know what your problem is.

I guess it goes without saying that misunderstanding NPC's is not the issue.

I think it's plain enough to see what I'm getting at.

Opinions kept to the point are always appreciated and so many thanks to those ppl for their patience and for taking up their time to explain a few things.
