Alien succesfully removed from game
After a few hours trying I finally found a way to remove the Alien from the game for those players who wants to free explore the Sevastopol without the constant threat of the xenomorph.
The way to do that is making a little mod on the file ALIEN.BML that the game uses to set the alien attributes.
At the end of the file there is a line that sets the alien behaviour with "alien_behave" and I replace it with "NoBehaviour" so the alien still is there in some vent but doesn't make anything. It is freezed.

For those who want to edit that .bml file must be with an hex editor. I recommend to backup the whole folder before making any changes.

First of all rename the original ALIEN.BML in Steam\SteamApps\common\Alien Isolation\DATA\CHR_INFO\ATTRIBUTES\ to ALIEN_BACKUP.BML or something like that, then paste the downloaded file in that folder.

And thats all! Notice that humans or androids still can kill you! Be careful!

Anyone know how to put the Alien in to the rest of the game? It becomes so boring after the main monster goes out of the picture :()

Verify the game files in steam.

Yeah, but there are so many tedious android missions in between, I just couldn't believe it. Of course it will return, basic storytelling you didn't spoil anything. I was just disappointed for the creative choices the team has made.
oh yea these long android thing spoiled me the fun too the alien is interresting these androis are just boring and annoying :/

they still cool in VR mod mode but i plan to try the mod that makes 2 aliens always instead of 1

I edited the androids to be killable with a few shots, which meant you used ammo but androids were not such a hold up. Well worth thinking about

Eight years later I wanna say thank you for this mod. I just stumbled on this mod. Alien Isolation was on my backlog and the Xenomorph gave me some hardcore PTSD. This game is in the way of my backlog. Made it to Mission 6 on the XBox, Mission 16 on the Switch, and I'm plowing through fast now on steam, thanks to this, Medical ward took 8 months to finish (hiding under a table) but on Steam it took 13 minutes. I plan on putting it back in once I make it to M16, with a mess of Flamethrower ammo.

Thanks for saving this game for me. I sent a little thank you for it,
The issue most people are having isn't because of the Alien in the game, its because its 'Leashed' to your character, so even if you do evade it and sneak somewhere else, the game keeps it close to you always, that's what sucks about the Alien.
there is the unpredictable alien mod to solve this and its amazing

u can hear and see the alien far away aswell as nearby its like it say unpredictable

to one who love the main game about the alien must try this mod :)

it maybe makes it "easier" to some people as the alien wont stick on butt like honey but more free roams arround so easier can sneak and pass

i personaly like it more difficult

So...played through all the way to Mission 14 with this mod, and got the surprise of my life seeing Tall Dark and Ugly roaming around unstuck... this normal???
I recall a Mission where the Alien drops next to some stairs where you need to go. I know with this Mod when a scripted alien movement happens the Alien just stays in it’s place. If you get too close does the Alien still kill your or will you be able to walk past him onto the stairs no problem?
No, it stands still. They do drop out of vents for scripted events, only exception to that is at the very end of the game, for obvious reasons. But that did catch me off guard.

And thanks to the OP, I finally put this game to bed.

I made a mod to make the game easier! :) in the game it works! but it doesn't display the icons correctly!

Like you said, until we found a way to port .bml to .xml this will be very hard to do. I'm having little advances with the alien.bml in the hard way... changing some values and trying to see how this affects the alien in game... taking some notes, then again... but this could take an eternity to be effective. Step by step.
I was looking to the difficulty files and think its possible to try some changes. But editing this files is not easy, because if you change a word or sentence you must respect the same number of characters, otherwise the level load crashes, at least with the alien.bml file.
could this have to do with the game expecting a specific filesize? try adding dummy characters in a note if you can.
