Should this actually be called "Ripley vs Robots" ?
ok, maybe its me, but I want to get on with the story and I find myself stuck playing a game against robots. They're not scary, they're just annoying and frustrating. One or two along the way might have been interesting. yes, we get the point about their programming, and their clever robotic like comments as they're coming to bash your head in. Cool... lets move on.

I think the robots are overdone.

No, Android Isolation would be just fine.

Yes! I felt the same at times.

Just, no. No to all of these suggestions, no to this thread.
I wish the robots had their own dificulty level.

Great game but gets me angry when they grab my melee weapon everytime I try to hit them.

You are becoming hysterical.

Robots are overdone, they feature a little too much in the second half

Although in my opinion the androids are the best enemies

but yes to that qoute
guess some people expect ripley to be Sam Fisher, gimme a break
Yeah, the androids might be the worst part of the game, and they are still pretty cool.

you cant hit them once they're on to you. you need to stun baton them, or emp them before you can go in for melee again. alternatively, you can run out of their line of sight and hide in a locker or cabinet and wait for them to stop actively searching for you
I actually took some sick satisfaction bashing the robots in the head with a wrench. But that's me.

i think it fits for the story and what not. the majority of the humans already left prior to the incident or got dissappeared after things started happening so it makes sense for there to be little amount of humans. also i think it adds to the atmosphere having the androids. you have what was once a bustling(ish) lively place now a cold, dying wreck populated with mechanical, souless androids.

I agree. I feel the synthetics added good immersion to the game because you have an AI trying to contain a unknown species with Weyland Yutani messing around as usual. I only wish the xenomorph would actually attack the synthetics and rip them in half and such that would have been awesome.
They probably didn't want the same tactics used with the androids as the humans. You can lead the creature to the humans and he takes care of that threat . With the robots you have to change gears since the creature won't attack them. I was like "oh well so much for that plan" when I chucked a noisemaker at a droid and the creature went to investigate and did nothing.
I find groups of androids almost more creepy than the Alien sometimes, it's like fighting zombies except they SAY CREEPY THINGS AT YOU and are VERY hard to kill.

the apollo core androids were kinda scary too, though I managed to group and kill them all in the two traps... then more spawned once I opened up access to the core itself!

Not scary is subjective. They frighten me perhaps more than the alien. But I've always had an artificial intelligence/robot fetish. I'm only 1/3 or so through, but all the synthetic/APOLLO stuff so far has been a pleasant surprise for me. The Joes really, REALLY creep me out though.
