Right Shift to run?
Has anyone else been able to use right shift to run? I use that for every game. I get the feeling that this is one of those keys that can't be changed, which would suck. I see no difference between using it or not using it.

You must be using the arrow keys, or have long ass alien fingers lol.

I remapped Run to Numpad Enter without a problem--I haven't tried Right Shift, but Run is definitely remappable. Amanda doesn't run all that fast, but you should see her arms pumping to know that she is actually running.

Thanks guys, I'll experiment when I get home. I have found that certain games will not let you use certain buttons for certain functions for some reason. Even though it says it changed to that button. I use mouse for movement and right ctrl for fire. Ever since '94!

Ok, I did get right shift to work for running. Seems like maybe it does not work unless you are in a situation. My key mapping does cause an issue with removing jacks. I have to move the mouse next to the ctrl key in order to reach the "A" at the same time. As long as I don't have to remove a jack while being chased I should be ok.

Yea and in 2000 when WSAD became the norm, you were supposed to switch. I was Arrow/Mouse for a long time until CS forces you to use WSAD or die constantly.

Oh she'll run. Slapping those little Convers just as loud as Stompy. I have my run on Q.

sometimes that game tells you, you have to press a certain button, like enter or so.... space works fine too.
also when you have to use the maintenance jack to turn OFF the generators and stuff, it tells you to use A, but D is the way to go (since you have to move the jack to the right to turn the generators off, or A when you try to turn them on)

that's... well kind of a bug, but doesn't really bother me in any way, just use your head :)

Thanks for the heads-up on the jack directions. And it's not nice to laugh at us Saturnians. I was dropped-off at age 7 here.
