I need pro tips on how to get past the first xenomorph encounter,it keeps killing me.

Hide, distract it, move slow, use cover, avoid making any noise.

Use flares and always look for places to hide. When the alien goes into the vent you have a few seconds to move a bit faster (never sprint, it will jump out and come investigate). Don't use your motion tracker too much because it can hear the beeping noise if it's close by. The most important thing is: TAKE YOUR TIME.

Ive also learned not to press my luck and try to get a head to that next door,it heard me hide.

No one told me over using the motion tracker was a bad idea!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Don't hide in the same spot for 20 mins thinking it will go away

You have to be creative

If you sees red barrel, use your revolver to shoot the barrel, it will explode and the alien if its near will run off back to the vents

Try to always crouch, flares are a great distraction tool. Don't rush be patient

Im a newb who is used to games like outlast,the penumbra trillogy(which is better than amnesia in my opinion),and amnesia 1+2,so this game,(and zombiu),have caught me off my gaurd.

it my use things found in any frictional games horror game and outlast,but they do it better or at least stronger.

They don't look like red barrels in a normal sense, they are long and red in a cylinder shape
