[SPOILERS] How to get past airlock area?

This is the new medical lab for me, i'm beyond ♥♥♥♥ed because EVERYTIME the alien drops RIGHT in front of me and kills me. There is no hissing, no screetching, just down and dead. he also finds me in EVERY hiding spot. I was under a desk and it found me, and when i was hiding in a locker, he walked around the corner, and instantly found me. No sniffing, scretching, growling, just dead.

And when i GOT to the button to get the airlock door open, i pressed it, and WHAT DO YOU KNOW? He dropped RIGHT dropped in front of me, and instant death. No time to pull out flamethrower, movotov, NOTHING. JUST DEATH.

What do i do? I'm about to give up on this game, because the AI is now just being unfair, with instant killings.

if you are where i think you are then when i hit the button i went straight to the vent in the floor, you can wait and watch the door open from down there. once you get into the airlock it's all scripted, so no chance of dying once you make it. that area gave me a lot of grief too, and i was playing on easy.

When i went into the vent, the alien just camped right atop it. he would walk around the vent i was next to, then go into the ceiling vents for 2 seconds, then come right back down. Rinse and Repeat. And it followed me to whichever vent i crawled to.

Sounds to me like the Alien is Glitched on you, try restarting the chapter from the main menu, it might re-set him.
