Please, a keyboard for slow walk in PC versión
Well, i,m passing most of the game crouched, it's annoying, while with a console pad you can walk slowly, much better. So, people of Creative Assembly, SEGA or any programer, please, a danm keyboard for slow walk.

keyboard and console pad are tool
You need a right tool to do the right job.
Why don't get a console pad?

The only game I recall doing variable walk speeds well was Splinter Cell Chaos Theory. In that game you used the mouse wheel to set your speed. It worked great for slowly sneaking around or a faster walk from cover to cover.

Indeed.

Because it's a game on the PC, thus it should be configured for PC, thats just common sense, if you're required to use a console controller for a PC game, thats just lazy ass development, That alone is a reason for me to not even bother buying it now, Oh well, their loss.

Actually, it's fully functional on PC, and seems to play very well. I myself can't confirm it, but many, many others will tell you that this is a pretty darn good PC port.

It's just some games are made for controllers rather than keyboard, the Souls series being my prime example.

Reset your keys for the keyboard to your liking.

Make sure its made by windows so it auto connects.

its honestly one of the few downsides to keyboard/mouse control. slow walking on kb would need a keybind toggle where as on console you just dont tilt the stickk as much. also, leaning mechanics like in ths and Medal of Honor Airborne function much better on a gamepad as you can control how much you lean by how much you tilt.
just buy a cheap gamepad would be the easiest solution

There is only two things the gamepad has over mouse/keyboard in this game. It's the ability to control walking/crawling speed, and slowly adjust the focus when using the tracker. The spacebar cannot really pull that off with finesse.

I play all games with a pad for just direction and 2 triggers, and a mouse (using the keyboard gives me cramp in my arm) You can use any pad for any game and set every button for anything you want. I have a Saitek pad but use Pinnacle software to map the pad. Easy.

You can use a PS3 controller on the PC as well, just need a program to make it work. a lot of FPSes let you use the mouse wheel to switch weapons so that wouldnt be a very good method for walk speed. best option might by cap-lock, turn it on or off, other pc games have used it, easy to reach.

Just man up and walk everywhere; I've been doing it a lot and the ayy lmao doesn't notice unless you're literally 15 meters away from it.

You cover more ground faster, and you can also have the motion tracker out while walking for extra assurance. Just keep out of its line of sight.

crouching and walking literally make no difference. the alien doesn't detect footsteps unless you're running. the only time you need to crouch is to hide bheind objects or go under desks

I have the occasional glitch on the PC when I use a movement key and don't stop moving when I release the key. Just keep moving until I hit an obstacle. Awkward when I'm trying to sneak past a group of enemies.
