it's the intire point of the alien, based on H.R. Gigers design. it's supposed to be a mix of something deadly and creepy looking with something feminine and sexy.
hell his original concept art for the runner alien for alien3 had kissing lips.

I think the basis of the Alien is it's supposed to be a grotesque subversion of gender. What with the phallic head and impregnation method of reproducing

SPOILER

The Alien always is close to the body it was "born" in. and as u will know later this body was a woman so it is right. the alien appears feminine

I felt the same way as soon as I saw that vent animation, reminded me of the brides of Dracula from the Coppola version. Freud would have a field day, but I find the way she stalks around the deck to be almost...sultry. Her footsteps are heavy, but I swear she walks like she's in heels!

I think it's due to the gait, the way the Alien walks on its hind legs and the curvature of its spine is similar to how women look when they're wearing high heels.

With that said though, Giger did intend for the alien to possess androgynous qualities to begin with: With its protruding headbit and its slender physique.

The Xenomorph is a female, a Queen so to speak.

Actually Rocky, that's never clarified one way or another. In the original Alien there was no queen necessary to create eggs, and this game never spells it out. Could be a queen. Could be that Creative Assembly wanted to keep the psychosexual side of alien terror in play but felt they had to come up with something new.

Or we could just all have issues. :/

Do you mean to say you find the Alien sexually attractive? Are you a xenosexual?
cutterman1999 Oct 11, 2014 @ 2:32pm
Oh god...did I just "come out of the locker"?!
