But well... what are they supposed to fix if you don't hit the target properly?
1-2 bombs or a good shot with the boltgun are more than enough, even at the highest level.
And as the first answer correctly stated: They wear rubber suits!
If that doesn't mean anything to you about electricity, look it up on the internet. Keyword: rubber insulation.
And when push comes to shove, you can even run past them. Generally speaking, being able to hit the target and knowing how to use a the boltgun should help for now. (E: Simply test it a view times after a saving and reload when you know how it works. You have to load this gun) No need to blame the devs for it. One point is attention, the other point is science.
A 20% chance? It's always been a garunteed instakill on any difficulty, are you charging it fully? You need to hold down the fire button to charge it up, after maybe five seconds once the reticule starts narrowing to a point it'll be lethal if you hit a synth in the head. But you're committed once you hold down fire: after roughly ten seconds once it gets to full speed the gun will fire on its own, so have the reticule on the snyth's head as it approaches you. Don't miss! And save all your bolts for Industrial synths only, as it's a garunteed kill on them while you can use any other weapon on normal synths.
