No. It has been said that this is a similar planet, with a similar spaceship but not LV426 ( by Scott himself ). Prometheus was one of the most disapointing movie of this decade.
Anyway, back when Scott was still inspired, that sequence was absolutely mesmerizing. I wasn't expecting it. Going back and see the space jockey and get closer to the mythology... priceless :)
My jaw dropped when the screen faded and started up on the planet. I was like "yes! but no!"
