Also DirectX 12 is awesome for new DirectX 12 games, why didn't DirectX 11 come with the technology for more efficient power use and more cores to be used? That boosts the frame rates in games a lot, and less power used for all computers, laptops benefit this a lot.
If you have sli, multiple graphics cards, DirectX 12 with a set of sli DirectX 12 graphics cards, allows the video memory to stack.
DirectX 11 sli multiple video cards doesn't allow video memory to stack.
Lots of great things coming for DirectX 12 and DirectX 12 graphics cards.

The link above is kind of odd, you will need to find "Memory Type" on the left of newegg.com in that link above. Then click on "Show More". After that click on "HBM".
Save for the new Nvidia Geforce GTX graphics cards coming out next year, 2 new types of architectures coming over the next couple of years, you can find the info on youtube or other places for nvidia architectures.
The new Nvidia cards will have tons of memory, lots of performance and so much more.
But the bigger boost will come when current 28nm process switches to 16/14nm Finfet. You will see maximum transistor counts going up about twofold, which also means that there is going to be a large performance increase. Current cards are really stringed out as far as they can get, with die sizes of 600mm2 (which is close to maximum for commercial graphics chips in terms of usable yields).
Yeah I know, some of those links in my other comment above, are the AMD Graphics Cards, hope Nvidia can pick up on that soon.
Although I know about some of the new ones coming next year as mention as well.
I'm really looking forward to them.
Also I'm more into the AMD air cooled desktop gaming cpu with Nvidia Geforce GTX graphics card types.
And I heard something about AMD also coming out with some new motherboards next year, it's about time. I hope they are what was mentioned about them being new gaming desktop motherboards. I'm tired of AMD messing with fm2+ motherboards, and getting left behind.
