But I would recommend OBS because it is free! (open broadcast software)
Maybe it is easier if we find out how to use Shadowplay but with OBS it WORKS :)
Thats odd seeing that I have already recorded this game using shadowplay a few times now. I uploaded this video here using shadowplay as well
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4O8gaNTZNk0
I would say: Just test that and please report if that helps :)
Don't worry, Driver keeps up to date. It's just the software that should be re-installed!
sometimes it has problems with whatever :)
It probably has to do with the software on your side then because I my GPU does support shadowplay, I recorded that little piece with an MSI GTX 970. What is your laptop specs?
I've found that it's fine for streaming some things on my machine, but because of how dark A:I is, it doesn't look as good on my machine. I'm fine with the setup I have.
Right-click on Computers > Select "Properties" > Select "Advanced System Settings" > Select the "Advanced" tab > Select "Settings" Under Performance >
here you can select "Let Windows Choose what's best for my computer" or "Custom" and make sure "Use visual styles on windows and buttons" is enabled.
This will allow you to use the "Allow Desktop Capture" setting
However, I am having great difficulty following the above advice as I can't find 'computers' let alone right click it. Any idea, where it is. I'm sure its very easy to find, but I am nonethelesss really stuck. Thanks again.
Also, what operating system are you using and is it a laptop or a desktop computer?
Desktop Capture in Shadowplay isn't officially supported on laptop GPU's. There is a workaround, but it only works if Optimus is disabled (meaning there is only the dedicated GPU or the laptop is only using the dedicated GPU.)
Here is the workaround:
Open regedit.exe.
Go to [HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\NVIDIA Corporation\Global\ShadowPlay\NVSPCAPS.
Find DwmEnabled and DwmEnabledUser. If you don't have DwmEnabledUser, go to Edit>New>Binary Value and create it.
Change the values for these from 00 00 00 00 to 01 00 00 00.
That worked for me. But, I have a Y510p running in SLI, which disabled Optimus on my laptop.
If you do have Optimus, there may be a way to run only on the GPU, but I don't know how to do that.
