I wouldn't want to be in the space station around ANY fire..........
I don't think Pipebombs are a Colonial Marshal™ approved item. Amanda might be just getting lucky with those ¯\_(ツ)_/¯.
I've always thought that an alien species that -obviously for the game/films sake- came from another planet, breathed it's own air compound (which wouldn't be equal to ours due to planet differences) then entered a human 'environment ' on the space station, would die from the equivalent of the bends due to gaseous build up in its alien blood, our pressurised station and nitrogen mixture. I wonder why it had jaws/teeth, considering that it would be carnivorous and would mean there is a tertiary food chain on it's former planet? It could, in theory, live on earth as the it was adaptable to gravity etc.
As we know from Ash the Xeno renews his cells over and over again to adapt anywhere!
I think that is also a reason to call it a "Perfect Organism"!
And I wouldn't wonder if they also can live in Space (Alien (Xeno), Aliens (Queen)) because they adapt to their new "livingroom"!
Maybe if a Alien is pulled into Space it makes himself as small as possible to use no energy (like Hypersleep for Humans)!
Wonder that the Filmindustry didn't made something like this: That a Alien from one of the first films doesn't hit a Spaceship thats stands near of it in Space (for whatever) and get on this way on board!
Sounds maybe ridiculous but I think this perfect Organism can survive anywhere (OK except a LavaPlanet :) )
Sorry too much "german" writing but I hope you all understand!
Of course that was the 'cash cow' effect. I didn't like any of those films, the 'not knowing' or the unpredictable element of the alien was what made it a classic. The future space travel to Mars is conjuring up alien encounters in my mind or more like, a horrendous space death, due to its one way ticket... How boring, no aliens.... 😣
Watch both Alien and Aliens, and then ask why you cant kill the Alien on Sevastopol.
In Alien. the xenomorph survives a blow that would basically tear a humans midsection to shreds, and dont really care that it was hit.
In Aliens, the xenomorphs seems to be lightly bulletproof to handgun fire, and it takes several shot with military grade, explosive tipped ammo to kill them.
Nothing on Sevastopol has explosive tips, not should they since you're on a spacestation.
Should the pipebomb be able to kill the Alien?
Maybe, it depends on how well it's made, and with what ingredients(explosive type).
Since it's something you're crafting from scratch, there's a good chance that the explosives you're making isnt very good, so one could speculate the pipebomb is basically just a big firecracker.
The pipebbomb has 25scraps of metal and is lethal to human and androids and can hurt the alien
Pipe Bomb
In-game description: The pipe bomb is an explosive device which detonates on impact. It is lethal to humans and non-industrial synthetics in close proximity.
Crafting Materials: 1x Ethanol, 2x Blasting Cap, Sensor, SCJ Injector, 25 Scraps
Additional information: Great bom
Yes you're right, but I think the OP made it more for explaining why than asking why!
Littered the place with 10mm gatling cannons and bazookas.
Have you seen Alien 4 the ship is full of troops soon as the aliens break out the captain gives the abandon ship order. They don't even try stopping the aliens.
You are right about the aliens in Aliens being smaller and weaker, but the aliens on Alien 4, are the same warriors as Aliens 2, they were made to look different on purpose, as the director wanted to make a new looking warrior alien. Yes there are plenty of alien types as well as for the reason they are called xeno - morphs, but it was said that the aliens in Alien Ressurection, were actualy warrior aliens remade, it didn't go well, although they aren't bad looking, I feel they should be a different type, also there were lots of different versions of that same warrior alien released as toys, but with different details, they are all called the warrior alien from Alien Resurrection, with box art and everything about that movie.
