In the Alien prequil cant remember the exact words the android says something like why make him look and act human but spoil the illusion by not wearing a suit.
They got white fluid inside their body so extreme pressure difference could still dangerous to them. (Their nose and ears will bleed milk, eyes will pop out from their eye socket...and those part ain't cheap!)

Weyland create their synthetics to be realistic - making them expensive - and part of that is making them do things humans have to do, including wearing a spacesuit.
SEEGSON on the other hand are loosing in the tech race and they spend less on their synthetics (the Working Joes), so they do not look realistic and probably wouldn't wear a spacesuit if they could even handle going into space.

I JUST watched Prometheus last night, and a synthetic says the same thing, its to make them seem more human. Mattfiler's done his homework lol

For the same reason if he wasn't one: He was build by humans to live in human atmospheric conditions. All his circuits, his machinery was build to withstand more or less the same stress the human body can.

Seegson Synthetics Working Joes don't need no stinking suits!

As was mentioned a few posts ago, they still have tons of fluid in their bodies. The difference in pressure between their bodies (one system) and the vacuum (another system) is staggering and thus would cause the fluids to boil.

Maybe their skin works as a sort of spacesuit protecting them from that? Who knows what tech is available in 2147 (i think?) as viewed from the 1970's

That should've been their advertising slogan. They'd have sold millions.

Without knowing what their outer layer is made from, that's conjecture - one can assume Weyland's androids could go without a suit, given that it's been suggested that the idea of them wearing one is primarily for the sake of perpetuating an illusion.

My guess he need a space suit due to Presures and temperatures in space.

Neither Ash nor Bishop seemed particularly "tight-skinned". Ash got ripped apart pretty easily and Bishop cut his finger with that little knife trick.

That's true, but in a sci-fi fantasy world, who's to say that synthetic skin isn't filled to the brim with many a vacuum-resistant material. That's obviously conjecture, too, of course.

Actually this is not true. Blood boiling and explosive decompression (at least in the range of 1 Atmosphere or less) are a myth. The pressure we're talking about is about 14 PSI. Thats next to nothing. In fact the elastic pressure of blood vessels and human skin itself would be enough to keep blood from boiling or the gasses in blood to boil out. Rubber hoses would function in a similar fassion for androids.

Further, IRL spacecraft operate at atmosphers of between 3 and 5 PSI with high oxygen content to keep the partial pressure of O2 at a level high enough for human to function. This would further reduced the pressure differences involved. IRL should an astronaut suddenly find themselves outside the spacecraft they would die not from boiling blood or explosive decompression, but rather from suffocation by the air being vacuumed from their lungs.

So yes, technically androids (like the Xenos themselves) would be able to function just fine without a space suit. The biggest danger to them would actually be overheating.

Cold would cause problems for them in Alien 1 Ash does a jiggle I presume to shake his fluids up due to the cold I think it was due to the cold.
