Nightmare - difference to Hard and regular???
At the moment I'm 7 hours into the game, began on "Nightmare" difficulty, I don't know any other difficulty.
Right now I have a feeling that I'd need like 50 hours or more to beat the game - which gets tiring for me.

How do you see "Hard" and "regular" difficulty compared to "nightmare"?

Do they really make the game SIGNIFicantly easier or only a very small bit?

Is the Alien noticeable "dumber" or still smart as hell like in "nightmare"?

Once you grow accustomed to how the alien acts on nightmare you'll see a significant change if you go lower in difficulty... Hard would be the bare minimum I would recommend if you want to make it a little easier. The Alien will still be a handfull on hard but will ocasionally just walk you by when you're hiding so he's a little more fogivable then on nightmare.

Below Hard you'll miss out on a lot of the tension and atmosphere drop away and thats what makes the game so good!

Whatever you do , don't go below hard mode.

I'll give the hard mode a go.

I'm actually used to playin stealth games on the hardest difficulties, but that one here on nightmare is more "work" for me where I have to be almost 100% focused when the Alien is around. So it's not really a "relaxing" play session.
Nightmare is no joke. I couldn't even get to the first encounter with the alien without dying multiple times. I'd say if you have the patience then go for it otherwise stick with hard.

You'll also have access to the map and more resources for crafting - which will help.

You currently have no map, health or ammo indicators whatsoever, Nightmare is definetly a good go but only after you've gotten familiar with the map and the surviving mechanics themselves. Also, ammunition seem to come like candy in anything below Hard, I saw a playthrough of a guy who had about 16 bullets for his revolver, I could never go above 6 on Hard.
The importand posts came from "entspeak" and "Bite"!

On Nightmare you have NO maps!
The MotionTracker works but kinda "broken"
No Health Bar!
You don't find many things for crafting (looting is luck, most things are empty)
I think all enemies are a little bit stronger/harder to kill
The Alien doesn't show up much like on the other difficultys, but when it shows up... woohooo..

Thats why I like my new "Speedrunning" friends :)
Alien Isolation on Nightmare is a REAL Challenge no Survivor map can give you (my opinion)! :D
