I know it works and I saw a YT Vid that shows how!
If you so damn stuck than maybe search for that Video!
Sorry that I can't help you now :(
When you get in the vent, Lambert will say that she is in position and trying to get a reading. Stand there for a second and wait for her to say ok before beginning down the tunnel. Follow her left/right directions. She won't lead you wrong.
Shortly after the first or second turn, you will hear the alien coming at you. Do your best to determine which direction he's coming from. Give a burst from your flame thrower in that direction beginning a split second before you see it and keep blasting until it retreats. It seems a bit more resistant to the flame thrower in the vents in this DLC. If you wait until you see it coming, it may be too late.
Trust Lambert and don't rely on flares or flamethower for light. Quickly tap the motion tracker just long enough to see which direction you need to go if you happen to get disoriented. But don't leave it up too long because it makes noise.
Don't pause for long. Keep moving or he will find you a second time.
yes, just listen to Lambert, I've succeeded only in that way
Cheers. Late to the party but this helped me. Did it the first time after reading your post. :D
Hell, every game I've played seems to have really bad directional sound aside from Source engine games. (Half Life 2, CS:GO, etc.) everything else is just hit or miss. Often I have to spin on the spot to figure out where sounds are coming from. I can hear left and right semi-fine, but in front and back, there's literally no distinction! Really sucks because I have to use my eyes. Is thing making sound in front of me? If yes: = in front. If no: = must be behind. Unsure? Spin around on spot. Turn left: Does sound come out of right earmuff? Must have been in front. It just sucks!
(i think last survivor is harder tho)
But just wait, the final part of the level is even worse and more broken. And then the ending is terrible as well. Meanwhile the actors who are supposed to make this DLC special, their line readings are horribly phoned in and they’re not even paying attention to the words…Tom Skerrit doesn’t even use correct stress pattern on the simple obvious line “get this done, people.” Of course this really falls on whatever incompetent voice director on the dev staff was overseeing this, because the actors are just given a piece of paper and have no idea what’s going on physically, but come on. Terrible DLC.
