However, I personally agree and think Motion Blue and DoF are not necessary, but eveyrone should try Chromatic Abberiation. At least in this game. The art style has been designed around having CA enabled and it adds to the whole 70's vibe.
Thats not to say CA is always a good thing. For some reason, Ding Light has CA and it makes litterally no sense in that game, so yeah turn it off there if you want. but Alien isolation has been desigened with CA in mind so at least give it a try!
Not really, the goal is to simulate looking through a camera lens, since the human eye doesn't experience depth of field or motion blur the way cameras lenses do.
I honestly can't see the difference with CA on or off. By rights, chromatic aberration shouldn't even be noticeable in the game, since even at its absolute worst in an image, purple fringing is only visible at the pixel level.
Well, that's the thing. I tried leaving CA on, and I tried switching it off, and I can't see any difference. I do photography on the side, so I do know how it appears. I would love for some people to take a few snapshots just so I can see the difference.
Film grain was off instantly as soon as I spied it in the options
Also renamed a few files to turn off the pointless lens flares when holding a flare since I'm assuming Ripley Jr. doesn't have cameras for eyes
