Bug: Can't Progress (Spoilers)
I can't tell which missions number I'm on because it looks as if there aren't achievements for every missions, but I'm definitely past the seventh.

I'm at the point where you return to Lorenz Systech Spire. I've locked down the stairwell and everything, and the objective currently says to activate Ricardo's Override Command. I used the terminal and activated it, yet nothing has happened. I restarted from a checkpoint and even the entire mission, but got the same result.

I'm having the same issue; were you able to progress?

I had to reinstall the game and completely restart, but yes.

Yeah, I know where you are.

So you've jumped on the terminal. Have you got the code from the mail he's sent, then put in that code (one of the computer tabs will let you input it).

That however is not enough. Once you put the code in, you have to find the program and press the activate button (e) on it. I always had a problem with this, because you never know when the alien is going to drop down and it's not clear exactly what you have to do.

The problem I had in the OP was that activating Ricardo's program wouldn't change anything. But I did get past it by reinstalling and restarting, so problem solved for me.

I was just checking, as it isn't clear at that bit exactly what you have to do with the machine.

First time I did it, I found the access code, put the access code in and then thought the job was done.

Wasn't till I went back to the machine and faffed about that I realised I hadn't pressed enough buttons as it were.

But if you've had this, and it's a glitch you can only get through with a reinstall then fair enough. A shame though... I take it you lost all your progress?

Steam backed up my save but I chose to restart just in case. It was also a great opportunity to try a peaceful run, which I did.

"Once you're using the Sevastolink terminal, browse to the Shared folder and choose Folder Code, revealing that the password to the Audio folder is 7789. Use this to listen to the audio log, then browse back down to the Shared folder and select the Bypass Program. This will allow you to access the previously locked Utility folder and Initiate Lockdown."

Which means, AFTER you run Richardo's program in on 'Shared'. Go back to the Utility folder (on the same computer), and Initiate the Lockdown.

Dude

While I appreciate the four-year late response, it actually was a bug and it just wasn't working. I've long since beat the game.

for those who will eventually run into this problem, what worked for me is to do the basic code and initiation of Ricardo's code, THEN look for the UTILITY folder/tab and initiate Ricardo's code again.

it's not a very well explained mission. i don't know why they set it up like this because it's really confusing.
