Hard Mode Story- A few tips on how to not become an Xenomorphs lunch.
So you want to play on hard mode or are having some issues on hard mode, eh? Well here is a few tips I have learned (The hard way) while playing with some listing on hits needed for specific enemies. (SPOILER ALERTS!)

Hard Mode- Dealing with an Xenomorph.

While hading it a kitten and offering to do a BRAZZERs style porno in an attempt to keep this thin from killing you may work, chances are good it's still going to give you oral through the skull cavity. So lets talk about ways on how to avoid the Xeno shall we?

Hint One- Scream like a child internally, on the outside be numb.

Two- never perform certain actions more than twice per confrontation with the Xeno. On hard mode this bug learns fast and a few times I would thros something and it would run toward me as if it learned that the item was actually thrown. Learn to place noise makers instead of tossing them as well. The only thing that seems to stay the same is the minigame of hiding in a locker and the alien trying to flush you out by forcing you to hold your breath (It does get harder though, sometiems Ripley exhales and dies anyway.)

Three- conserve your flamer ammo. You will need it severly in two key points, expesially in the hive area when you have multiple xenos comming at you, and facehuggers galore. A facehugger will normally die on one click of the flamer, a full grown xeno may take up to five bursts, be sure to walk into it to push it back to force it's retreat. Molotovs are also a great choice when you're hiding and want the bug to run away. You can also make it retreat by throwing a pipebome at it and freaking it out.

Four- When dealing with the Xeno be sure you're stocked. Exploration isn't just for collecting data, but also for important parts. You need to use all your gadgets to beat this game on hard mode, and you must switch up your technique and tactics ever single mission in order to survive.

Five- Move from cover to cover in soem areas like the Medical Bay section. Other parts of the game if you're good about it you can run (NOT SPRINT) throug hwith motion tracker in hand. Just be sure to get into cover it it shwos the Xeno beeping closer than 60. When you see it rising from 50-90 really fast that is when you should move your ♥♥♥, but don't sprint.

Six- If you see a vent with clear slime falling out of it, don't walk under it. Avoid walking under any vent at all honestly, sometimes you won't even see the slime.

Weapons:

Flame thrower, molotove, pipe bomb(direct hit only) all scare it away.

Noise makers, smoke bombs, flash bangs: Used as distractions.

Everything else ♥♥♥♥es it off and then it rapes your face with it's tongue of doom.

-----------------------

Androids:

One- First off, save up on a shack baton. Don't use it on humans or the Xeno at all because on hard more it's a waste. A quick jabe with the prod on shock mode and a few swings will down an android, however if more are nearby they will come and investigate the sounds of your wrench busting into a plastic skull. Take note, androids in thick rubber suits do not take EMP damage at all, not even from a mine.

Two- Never shoot the legs, arms, bodies of an android. Go for the head, always, no matter what. Take note however there will be a couple of time you face a group, one time where you may end up facing 5+ in a large room, at this point kite them into each other (Run in circles) until they bunch up and then hit them with an EMP and then run through the door. You'll see a room to the right with mroe EMPs in it. Simply grab what you can, activate a gas redirect at the console near the room, and then wait for them all to walk into the fire and EMP them again. This will save you time, ammo, and a lot of HP.

Three- Androids are inquisitive. Toss a flair along it's line of sight and watch it follow it like a puppy then stare down at it for a few minutes. Take note after the third or fourth time it will either ignore or search the opposing direction. Unlike the Xeno however, you can do this with other Droids as each one is a new one with it's own learning ability.

Weapons:

Flame Thrower, Molotov: Don't waste the ammo.

EMP/Shock Baton: Stuns a roid for 25-30 seconds if you're lucky. THis is enough time to beat at least one all the way down and then run from the others if you're fighting a group. Don't work on Droids with rubber suits.

Pipe Bomb: Requires 2 or more. Better to EMP a group and then pipe bomb them after you've EMPed them. THis will weaken the group for you.

Shotgun takes 2 hits to the face for normal droids. 4 shots to the face for the rubber suit ones.

Revolver: 10-12 shots to kill a normal, may as well not try it on one with a rubber suit.

Bolt Rifle: Fully charged up is a one shot kill to the head of ALL androids. Use it only in the most dire situation, like when you got 6+ of them chasing you on the Reactor Core Systems Platform.

----------------------------

Humans:

Much like the droid in learning, like to stand guard more, and tend to be easy to take down.
Any weapon will do as long as you shoot them in the head.

One- Normal humans are one hit kills to the head. Granted it's better to use your pet. Use a noisemaker and toss it into a group to bring out the Xenomorph and watch the bloodplay commence.

Two- Armored guards with shotguns will chase you down and shoot the ♥♥♥♥ out of you. Best to avoid gunfights at all with these guys unless you want to waste ammo on them. Use distractions to get around them.

Three- Don't kill civilians. The game forces you to reload from a checkpoint if you do, it's a waste of time anyways, and would be a waste of ammo. Jsut letting ya know.

Weapons:

Pistol, Shotty: One shot kill to the head.

Flamer, Bolt Rifle, Stun Baton, Pipe Bomb, Molotov, Flashbang, Smoke Bomb: Don't waste your ammo, save it for the droids and Xenomorph.

----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

And there oyu have it folks, tips that will help you survive :D.

Bonus Tip- If you see an egg that is not hatched, one shot with a shotgun, or one trigger pull of the flamer will make sure you don't get facehugged later. Granted soem areas have scripted Facehugger spawns normally two at a time. One burst with a flamer does the job for one facehugger.

I know what part you are talking about and the best way I found to deal with groups is to EMP and Pipebomb and all will die.

That's a very valid option, especially since this would be considered a very good scenario to do that. I normally EMP them then follow up with a pipe bomb. For the time I didn't have a pipebomb I ran past them, redirected the fuel, and once they got through the door EMPed them as they got in front of the fire from the gas line. Cooked Synthetic :D

I had bullets left...so I shot them all in the face.
