amanda was never part of the alien franchise, except for a statement in aliens.
and (it's not a spoiler) since we know amanda survives... (so as we know the titanic sank)
this might as well happened in those 15 years after the original movie
but i think it will be handled like those star wars Expanded Universe...
movies > games > books > comics
so everything that doesn't fit with the movies, just is non canon
Not like Colonial Marins was canon... Oh wait...
That makes my tummy go LV-246
So far, Alien Isolation is the only newer Alien game that is good. AvP from '99 was good, AvP2 was decent, AvP 2010 is somewhat good and A:CM is plainly one of the worst games ever made.
The three alien novels though... Great bedside reading. (Out of the shadows, Sea of sorrows, River of pain)
Your questions will be answered - fear not. And, the WY colonizing of LV-426 happens much later in the timeline. It may be that this incident becomes one of the factors in the decision to colonize LV-426.
The game definitely is canon when it comes to the original film. It may not necessarily fit with canon as it evolved in later films.
um.... its called "LV-426" not "LV-246" im not sure if you forgot or had clicked the wrong keys but yea
