Which key to hold breath?

I'm not sure I fully understand the holding breath mechanic, the only tutorial I saw was quickly interupted when I got pulled out of a locker. I went looking for explantion else where but found none. Exactly which button is it to hold breath while hiding in a locker? Right click?

Is it CTRL + S perhaps? I found that made me lean ever farther back in a locker and assume that's due to breathing in.

I don't know which key it is on the keyboard because I use a controller, but you can't just hold your breath whenever, only when it gives you a prompt to do so. Which is displayed for 1/16th of a second before you just get killed anyway, I'm done with this game, it's unfairly hard to the point of not being fun.

What level are you playing it on?

you can only do it when the alien is about to "sniff " your locker you have to hold s and rmb(right mouse bumber)

while in a locker etc, s will move you back and right mouse button will get you to hold your breath... when the prompt comes onto the bottom of the screen

i just hold those key even before it let me do it just to be sure, got killed so many time beause i wasnt sure if i did right in the first place

Purely for that extra level the poster above describes.

I've been a bit of a girl's blouse and even screamed out at one point, so a mic being on would have added an extra dimension to the game play where my silence at my desk is required as well as my in-game stealth.

This is an area where the consoles bring another dimension the gaming.

Has nothing to do with the fact the PC version is a slightly trimmed down console port?
