Purely for that extra level the poster above describes.
I've been a bit of a girl's blouse and even screamed out at one point, so a mic being on would have added an extra dimension to the game play where my silence at my desk is required as well as my in-game stealth.
This is an area where the consoles bring another dimension the gaming.
Has nothing to do with the fact the PC version is a slightly trimmed down console port?
