How to fix weird blue fire bug?

Literally any time a flame of any variety goes off, every light in the game immediately turns black, lens flares turn red and all the fires turn blue, rendering me effectively blind. I can't be the only person who has ever had this issue but i can't seem to find how everyone else fixed this issue.
