XBOX?
I've bought this game on PC, PS4, Switch & now for my Xbox Series S and while it looked amazing on the first three something is definitely off about Xbox. Every review online/YouTube says that the only difference between Xbox & PS4 was the framerate because of hardware limitations so it should be just as good on the series s only at 60fps because of the fps boost right?
I've put it side by side with the Switch and it's definitely missing some of the same magic & atmosphere. The only thing i can think of is that the Xbox One had less affects like lense flare, motion blur & some kind of filter so it feels lifeless compared to the other versions.
If anyone has real insight into this please let me know.

I haven't played it on xbox, but the game looks kind of dead and lifeless if you remove the film grain so perhaps that's the missing filter. Does the xbox version have a film grain slider?

Yes it has a film grain slider and it's all the way up unfortunately.

I disable (or mod out) film grain & chromatic aberration in any game that has it. To me, film grain is AWFUL - no matter what the game designer's intent is. I lived through the 70s-90s, and I don't need to see a game looking like a crappy VHS tape on an old CRT TV... but to each their own.

FPS shouldn't be an issue. The game will do 120 fps on a fairly weak gaming machine. The ios version does 120fps (in performance mode, and 60 in quality mode) on my ipad pro gen 6 which is 2732x2048. It does 240 fps on my gaming PC at 4K with all settings pushed beyond the normal max by gaming mods (higher shadow and reflection quality), and my GPU is only 25% use. If I disabled vsync, it would do well over 500fps (and probably closer to 1000) @ 4K on my rtx 4090.

That said, the ios and console ports DO have some of the graphics and lighting crippled (unless playing in high quality mode on the ios version) - especially on the Switch as the Switch is a VERY weak gaming machine (far less powerful vs my ipad pro). The ios port is probably superior to any of the console ports. The company that did the ios port also added features not seen on the PC or consoles (touch interface UI, game pauses while crafting and changing weapons, and a lot of other QoL improvements).

The game also looks AWESOME, when played with RTX HDR (not that crappy AutoHDR in windows). The brightness and colors just pop.

Side Notes:
My AI game is highly modded by myself (and others from Nexus mods). The OpenCAGE modding tool is beyond awesome. I made incendiary/stun bullets, for the handgun, that light things on fire and drive the Alien away for 60s and make it bleed. It can't be killed though. The alien can't be stunned like other NPCs, but anything with a stun effect drives the Alien away (for X seconds defined by the stun). It's just that the player isn't given these options on the bullets. They are in the game, but never used by the devs. They can be unlocked by modding though.
