Is it that bad?

By bad I don't mean the game it self, no, i really want this game, but sadly I can't get it because "It's not for me". I was wondering, It is a scary game, but how about the gore and stuff? How bad is it? Now I'm not new to that sort of thing, I've seen all the aliens and many other gory films and games. And if it's not the gore, then what is it about this game that is preventing me from getting it??

Your parents? The gore is minimal. It's just a game where you run away from a monster. That's it.

It's no that hardly bad. It's like movies you shouldn't worry about it. It's fake. Just remind yourself that things are fake when it comes to video games and stuff. Apparently someone is scared too easily lol.

I've seen much more gore in games than this one, but it does have some gore. It'll make you jump a bit and until you get used to it you'll have more than a few "I really don't want to go through that door but I have to" moments. Having said that I love scary films and I think if you do you almost get into a film or game to the point where you start freaking yourself out with stuff that is just subtle changes in music or odd sound effects in the distance.

It's an awesome game though I'd get it if you can. Why can you not get it? Parents?

You can get the game if you think you can handle 5-10 heart attacks (per hour).

I saw Alien and Aliens WITH my parents (and my three years younger sister) when I was 8 or 9. Nothing wrong with that, they're great movies and this is a great game.
