Who laid the eggs?
There's no queen alien onboard so how did face hugger eggs get laid all over the place? In Allens, E. Ripley confronts the queen alien as she's laying eggs from her ovipositor and then proceeds to destroy the eggs right in front of the queen just to make her angry. Think she blows the queen alien's ovipositor off too. But the queen alien was huge compared to the alien drones. Who fertilizes the eggs? The male drones? And how can you tell a male from a female alien?

♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ idiots necro'ing threads.
Yes, it's in the Director's Cut. Personally while it's an interesting piece of Alien history, the scene breaks the movie's pacing.

In an interview with Gary Napper they asked him this question and his response was that the queen was indeed on Sevastopol, but the game didn't take Amanda down to her as the player would of expected a boss battle and that's not the type of game they were aiming for.

The general fan-theory though is that they used the egg morphing process from the deleted scene in Alien.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MCoefVgW9w
That process suggests that the Xenos tie people up on the walls and the spit-like substance they use to make the nest begins to break down the skin and that, eventually morphing the person into an egg, from which a facehugger is born and the process continues. There would eventually be a 'royal facehugger' come from an egg which would impregnate a queen so they could reproduce faster (as is in Ripley in Alien 3).

But yeah, the official word is that the Queen was on Sevastopol.
I guess the egg morphing process must of been used back when there was only one Xeno on Sevastopol for it to reproduce and create a hive, so the theory still stands - unless the person brought on board originally had a royal facehugger on them, then a queen would of been born straight away, but the original facehugger was from the derelict, so I doubt that would be the case.
I get why they left meeting the Queen out, but it would of been nice to maybe have a hint towards the Queen or maybe even an easter egg where you can unlock the door in the hive and see her.

Where exactly do they mention an alien queen? I played the game 4 times already, i've never seen any word about the queen in the entire game?

Like you said, in the movie there is a deleted scene where brett is being morphed into an egg, which is a way more terrifying idea
Huh, that's kind of lame, i thought they tried to stay as true to the movie as possible by not letting a queen being involved, luckily there is no mention of it in the game.

Don't get me wrong, i love aliens, its just that james cameron kind of took away the mystery of the alien life cycle by coming up with the queen
There is a queen (there has to be) you just never get to see it. Sevastopol is an enormous space station and you only ever see a small part of it, so the queen is obviously in some part of the station you don't go to.
ripley our game character got implanted alien egg too but nothing like that will be shown or signaled in the entire game after she free her self waking up tied on the wall in alien nest

even the game ending remains unexplained about her destiny but too much time has passed to create a story expansion hmm maybe alien isolation 2 as many mentioned will start there?

but ripley will die anyway this or other way since she has the alien in her body

they known to breed late and bite a way out the belly like many dead npcs we seen ingame and in the movie

sorry bad english

She isn't carrying an embryo.
very late near endgame she will be "impregnet" by the alien how ever that works

she tried to put a suit on to enter the torrens then a alien comes on above and grab her they both fall deep down a vent while she get unconscious and wake up tied on wall by this alien genetic where she free her self

arround u will see other victims dead longer time and the egg already hatched as big hole in body where the baby bite the way out

every "this alien movie francise" fan will understand what is happen and if u seen the movies u will know what i trying to say too :)

my english is just bad on explain

There is one egg that hatches only after Ripley wakes up. This is the egg that was meant for her. The aliens arrange one unhatched egg for every host.

If she were carrying an embryo, all the other aliens and facehuggers wouldn't be trying to kill/impregnate her.
about this egg and hatcing part i not be very sure all i know in the movies they get embryo inside the body where the alien will make it way out once it is time to hatch

looks very violence jumping arround moving the inside body untill it break out and the body has nasty big bloody hole we see alot ingame those dead bodys too

happens in the alien movies even by a dog looks very sad

about the aliens wont kill us we get bck to where this is a game and it will be boring if no monster will attack us anymore makes less sense happy walk to the goal line and all the greet aliens on the way ^^

i personaly did wish there will be 2 hunting aliens later at some time only seen it once at short emergency scene at the bridge and those trigger events :/

maybe a modder can make it 2 instead 1 :)

By hatching I was referring to the eggs. An egg hatches and a facehugger crawls out. This doesn't happen until Ripley wakes up.

There is no indication that she's carrying an embryo while everything (the unhatched egg, aliens attacking you) points to the fact that she isn't.

I agree. If Ripley was impregnated the other facehuggers and aliens wouldn't be trying to impregnate/kill her.

It would be easy for the devs to make it look like she was impregnated if they wanted to. They would have simply scripted all aliens after that point to treat Ripley as a Working Joe. Or in other words, to ignore her.

See I figured there was a queen that we didn't see. I also figured the aliens could molt into a queen. Also, this is the only game I was glad was over.

No queen in this game at all, the eggs are all over the place, in large areas and even ventilation ducts, places impossible for a queen to reach and lay eggs into.

They went with the Alien1 theory; any alien can make eggs through some weird process.
Egg morphing much better and scarier than some stupid queen. Developers of Alien: Isolation great man's ever.

The big nest and all those eggs weren't made via eggmorphing. Maybe that's how the nest initially started; the first drone created a new queen via eggmorphing (like bees can create a queen bee at will), but that's as far as it goes. The queen has already been confirmed so this shouldn't even be debated. The eggs are all over the place because the aliens carry them around. (You think the queen in Aliens laid the egg intended for Newt right there where she was hanging from a wall? Of course not; it was carried to that spot by the workers.)
