Mission 6: Outbreak - Bug in burning room?

+++Spoilers for the last part of this mission (obviously)+++

So, I've Googled a bit and only found one other person mention this. Basiclly, after the cut-scene in the medical reception, when everything's burning, has anyone else experienced sudden, unexplained death? It's like when you're hit from behind, but there's no blood, you just just suddenly fall on your face and die. No Alien, no Joes, no people around.

First time I did it, I went in to the dentist's room, hit the tape recording, then died. Second time, it happened after about 10 seconds of moving through the area, and the third time I noticed what I had to do to escape, and got on with that.

I probably did. I thought I'd managed to avoid it all, but that makes the most sense. Fire -- the invisible killer! :D

Try using a medkit before you trigger the cutscene. As far as I know from other people, you lose a bit of health from the explosion and you will continue losing health while in the room due to smoke and fire.

It's not a bug... you are in a closed room full of fire and smoke, you breath smoke, so from the start you loose a little bit of health each second that passes by, until you finnally die...unless you are quick enough and escape before it is too late :)

It seems so obvious now really. I guess I was so obsessed with aliens and bandits and 'droids, I forgot about good old fashioned environmental damage. :D

The real question is... What the hell are you supposed to do, to not die in that room? The main door is obviously locked and dentist's room has nothing in it, but tape recorder

You need to climb a ladder. It´s directly in front of your eyes after you get control back after the explosion.
