Random crash that shuts off my computer
Never had this happen on my computer, with any other game at all.

When I play, I often only get a few minutes of playing before the game shuts down suddenly, and my computer straight up resets. There is no specific set items that cause this to happen, nor do I even get a message of what happened. My computer just behaves like a reset occurred. Sometimes this goes for 20 minutes, but most of the time it is about 1 or 2 minutes.
A crash that resets my whole computer.

I've fiddled with some of the video settings in response to this, turn off ssao, dynamic lighting, with no change.

OS: windows 10
Geforce GTX 970
8 GB RAM
i5 - 4690K @ 3.5 Ghz

Should also mention, I incur no slowdown, stuttering or long load times. In fact the game runs and looks beautiful. Fully updated drivers too. Any ideas on what could be the issue?

Wish I could help with this. i've been having a similar problem too, Windows 10. For me, it says something about a video issue. I have a Nvidia 860. For me, it sometimes hangs with the sound. There were some recent Windows driver updates. It's possible Windows 10 updated something that is conflicting with game.

check for overheating cpu/gpu ... if the game looks/runs beautifully as you say then you have all the software/permissions/dll's/dx11 installed correctly

CPUID HW Monitor install that to monitor your temps it willl also show fan speeds. You could try running it with your case side panel off.
