There are many users playing just fine on your hardware and we also tested the game using an AMD MacBookPro so it's likely something with your Mac that once fixed will allow you to play.
I could contact our support team so we can help look into the issue.
i spend $800 on a HP pavilion 4gb system ram, with i7 @ 2.6ghz and Nvidia Gt 840m 2gb memory, runs isolation maxed out. with anti aliasing turned off respectively.
Please make sure you lower the resolution, resolution effects performance more than other settings in Alien. If you still have issues with lowered resolutions please contact Feral support.
i really wanna play this
i have 2.5 GHz intel core...and 8 gigs
It should be fine. I have a early 2013 Macbook Pro with Retina display - Intel HD 4000, just like yours, but with less RAM and less memory on the graphics card - and it runs pretty well.
I haven't tried cranking up the graphics to a higher resolution (I think currently I'm running it at about 1152x720), because I know that probably won't end well, but it's playable at least.
tl;dr: As long as you have a recent MacBook Pro, you should be fine :) .
[Frankly, as long as you aren't a fps-obsessive -- and can live without playing Witcher 3 -- the current range of Macs make perfectly serviceable computers for gaming. To those naysayers out there, I say :P .]
Yes, as per the min and recommend spec it works just fine on that MacBookPro. You can buy and play the game using either store although the Mac App Store does sometimes have install problems on larger games so if you might need to download the game over an extended period Steam will likely be more reliable but the choice is yours :)
