Does anyone name the alien?

I call her Eva, although I know many speedrunners refer to the alien as Steve.

Big Chap is the official name.

That's an unofficial official name in a way. It was a nick name for the original Xeenomorph in Alien by the cast and crew and was just kind of picked up by toy and merchandise sellers as its "official" name.

It also only refers to the Xeenomorph in Alien and no other Xeenomorph.


Also side note about the topic.

There are multiple Xeenomorphs in Isolation, a single Xeenomorph doesn't stalk Amanda specifically. No way you take a tram across the station and the xeenomorph fallows you specifically. Plus we know an entire hive exists on the station, every area probably has 1 or more Xeenomorphs lurking around and they just like to hunt in isolation(lol) most of the time.

That's one of those things that amused me in the 1980's. At that time Alien was a rated Certificate A film yet Hasbro made a toy line for kids. They did the same thing with Terminator - also rated Certificate A.

Products marketed at customers who it was illegal to show the films to. How did they get away with that?

They did that with a metric ♥♥♥♥ load of films. Robocop had toys as well and that film is not kid friendly either.
