First Run:
1. Connect your headset with SteamVR
2. Running the alien_debug.bat file
3. launching AI.exe
4. press enter to continue
5. in option menu go to MotherVR and enable VR with SteamVR/Oculus Link
6. Play / Have Fun
Fix:
1. Downloaf ProcDump https://download.sysinternals.com/files/Procdump.zip
2. Extract it, then create a *.txt file in the same folder, copy: .\procdump.exe -e -h -w -s 3 AI.exe /accepteula & pause
into it, and save it
3. Rename the *.txt file to alien_debug.bat
4. Double click on the .bat, and it should say 'Waiting for process named AI.exe...'. So then you start up Alien,
and if it crashes, this program should create a AI.exe_170827_XXXXXX.dmp file that can be inspected.
5. Go to SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common move (cut & paste) the Alien Isolation folder to somewhere outside of Steamapps.
I went with E:\SteamLibrary\patchedapps as that's the same drive I have Steam on.
6. Rename the Alien Isolation folder to AlienIsolation.
7. Delete the SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Alien Isolation folder if it still exists
8. Open a command prompt in admin and enter: mklink /d "Path To Steam Alien Isolation Folder" "Path To New Location"
exemple: mklink /d "E:\SteamLibrary\SteamApps\common\Alien Isolation" "E:\SteamLibrary\patchedapps\AlienIsolation"
