Spoiler! (Story Question)
just completed the game (on PS4 don't judge) and did anyone else wonder how a Xeno ended up on the Torrens in the last scene?

Was it a dream she was having whilst floating in space?

Or did it get onto the ship some other way? The captain Verlaine knew about the situation and would have kept the ship locked up until the end.

Thoughts?

My opinion is that she's been knocked out while seperating the Torrens and is having a nightmare. My reason for this is that you're wearing your EVA suit in a location that you wouldn't use one and then stumble towards the airlock and don't put away your suit, even though you packed it away at ever other stage, then that's where you have the alien show up, it then lurks towards you slowly instead of attacking, like in a dream when the thing that's chassing you is in yoru face no matter how hard you try to get away etc,

The lights shining on her at the end I think is the Torrens looking for her.

That's what I think.

When I say EVA where you wouldn't wear one, I mean you start on board nowhere near an airlock so there's no reason for her starting there and the walking towards the airlock area. If that makes sense...

It's not really explained. The only explanation would be that the Alien somehow got on board while the Torrens was docked, but like you said, you'd think the airlock would have been sealed.

Quite frankly, it came off like a cheap jumpscare with little logical reason behind it.

I'd have to agree it was a dream, as the films loved throwing those into the mix.

It did seem odd that you kept your suit on and that the Alien slowly went at you rather than killing you quickly like the rest of the game.

It's been a while since I've played the game, but I'm pretty sure Verlaine says something about setting the airlock to automatic so you can get onboard quicker. I always figured this was a hint on how the Xeno got onboard since an automatic airlock would let anything in.

Well we at least know she HAS to live :)

A dream is a nice imagination to me. Maybe the glimmer of light comes from a flashligh from Verlaine that makes her awake. That would be a more positive ending and not totally unlikely cause the last scene was a bit surrealistic.

Verlaine tells Amanda that she set the airlock on auto so that Amanda could get in once she's done destroying the docking clamp. It is implied that an Alien got on board of the Torrens the same way Amanda did.

That said, I completely agree that "mission 19" (and the latter half of mission 18) were poorly designed and should've probably been edited out.

Could be so. When you are walking on the bridge above the airlock, it opens and shuts constantly.

Definitely not a dream. They'd have made it more obvious if it had been just a dream.

Who knows exactly ? Nevertheless i would like that dream theory. but she was rescued definitely. Analyzed the last sequence in slow motion and found no hint, but that means nothing.

I never considered it might be a dream. I like the theory but I don't think it was a dream.

The aliens can survive in space - this is a known thing. You can see them happily walking all over Sevastopol when you're outside in your EVA suit. I think one of them jumped from Sevastopol to The Torrens.

Verlaine and her crew are waiting for Ripley to board in her EVA suit. If they heard bumping outside, they may have assumed it was her and opened the airlock, only for an alien to get inside.

there was already more than 1 alien on the space craft so one of them could have gotten on board the torrens while still docked. its kinda like when ellen was getting ready to leave on the ship and when she stripped down she had no clue the alien was even on there with her all the time she was thinking it was destroyed with the nostromo. now that i think of it, how the hell did that alien even get in there before her? well anyway its something like that part in Alien.
