Gonna see it in a couple of hours so excited!
i hope this gives the alien franchise a boost so we can get our hands on a Alien Isolation 2!!

(The movie was filmed in Hungary, Budapest it has a tax incentives on 30%

so instead of costing them 80 millions to make the movie it's actually only 56 million
so from today and onward's this movie has made the studio a profit!)

lol @ guy that seeks originality in Alien franchise, dude originality of this saga ended with chestburst scene in 1979, thats right 45 years ago. What we've got after is varied quality of sequels and spinoffs most of them bar Aliens and Alien 3 pure garbage in cinema quality sense. Romulus stands tall in that crowd, easly top 3-4. If you can't see acting quality, sets, pacing and atmosphere but you hang on on some irrelevant "fan service" nonsense then I don't know what to tell you, maybe you know jack sh*t about good movies and should keep watching what you like over and over. Oh and, news at 11 -all art is derivative, there was always someone before with that idea, now you can execute same thing well or not and Rolmulus nails its intentions.

Ignore the haters. The movie was great and it's already a huge success. It also caused an over 400% surge in players for this game, so that's another win. If you look at Rotten Tomatoes, both citric and audience scores put it in third place behind Alien and Aliens, and above Alien 3, Alien Resurrection, Prometheus and Covenant.

All those films were complete ♥♥♥♥ after Aliens lol, it means nothing. Although Alien 3 was original at least, and closed the Ellen Ripley story, and had a multitude of excellent actors in it like Sigourney Weaver, Charles Dance, and Pete Posthlethwaite so it already beats Romulass. Nor does the braindead views of modern audiences who wouldn't know a good film if it slapped them in the face mean anything. Positive review bombing and shilling is part of the disease of modern consumers.

You know, you could make these points without directly insulting others and calling them braindead. The fact is, opinions are subjective, so the most accurate way to judge a piece of media is by the aggregate score of its fanbase. You may disagree, but your opinion carries no more weight than mine or anyone else's.

Disney / 20th Century's Alien: Romulus has passed the $200M global mark. The film grossed an estimated $41.6M internationally this weekend. Estimated international total stands at $152.8M, estimated global total stands at $225.4M.

my hope is that this will somehow give us Alien Isolation, a continuation of Alien Isolation. I know there is blackout but I don't see that as a proper sequel.

What's funny is that it's opening weekend for that terrible The Crow remake, and Alien Romulus outperformed it 4x even though it came out last week.

I've seen the film in the cinema three times now and I love it so much, it's exactly what I've always wanted from a new alien film and with Rain it finally introduces someone who can compete with Sigourney Weaver, and could carry This franchise if you stick with her and expand her character. Alien Romulus was a true miracle for me and I hope that Fede Alvarez stays on board and then directs a sequel at some point, even if he wants to do Alien vs Predator first, I hope that he then returns to Rain and Andy and continues their story.
