Microphone Detection?

Why isn't there a microphone detection setting on this version of the game, I heard there was after playing the console version but now I'm hearing it was removed? Is there any way to mod the feature or downgrade it back to a playable version with it? would appreciate any advice on this.

I really wish check that feature but... it was a real problem in practice and it was removed.

Sounds on the streets, someone entering your room, or maybe just you doing sounds accidentally ocassionated too many deaths accidentally.

Was always a console feature. Originally, it was turned on by default, such that the game was unplayable. People didn’t realize that their mic was getting them killed, so conclusion was that it was a bad game. Console game was patched to ask you whether you want the feature on.

I’ve seen streamers play with this feature enabled. It makes for tedious gameplay.
