Game wont launch
hi guys im having the same issue as everyone i click play 5 secs it pops up boom closes ive verified the files , tried it in a new folder & redownloaded it to no avail i for the life opf me cant figure this out

my first though is update your drivers and stuff but the game is so old maybe it's worth trying an OLDER video card driver.

yeah i have no idea im not the only one with this problem ive been told it might have to do with NVIDIA overlay? haven't tried it yet

I did I turned off steam over lay , & did a few other random things then restarted my PC still too no avail clicked play screens pops up for like a mili second then boom closes and it stops running it’s so weird I don’t remember this issue happening before it’s so weird all the other Alien related games & my other games run fine & I have a lot of space on my Storage & just updated my nvida

Update: turned off steam overlay / Nvida overlay & changed monitor resolution from 1920 to 13something still nothing same issue happened

Specs : Intel(R) Core(TM) 17-3770 CPU @ 3.40GHZ, 3401 Mhz, 4 Core(S), 8 Logical Pro. Windows 10 Home Geoforce 1050TI , 16GB Ram

After updating your graphics card and other drivers..

My advice is to download Process Explorer for Windows. Use this tool to identify and shutdown Windows processes which are running behind the scenes, which you don't need while playing the game.

Could be game controller / printer / scanner / camera apps, or things like Spotify / GameBar / torrent / sound mixers etc... The less junk you have running in the background while playing Windows games, the better.
