Graphics look a bit odd at a distance
I don't know if it's only me, but every other picture and video i look at, their graphics look alot clearer, i have everything on max, i've used the modded engine settings file, so i have 8k shadows and better visuals overall, i use alias isolation and it still doesnt look as clear as i see in come screenshots and videos. I use 4k maxed out everything, film grain off, fov 85, dof is on, can someone help?

Here are some screenshots from in game:

-This image you can see the lighting, wtf is that? that looks choppy as crap-

-This image just looking at objects at a distance looks so odd, i can see tiny black lines and they move as i move, it just makes the image look so weird -

Sorry i updated my discussion, please look at the comparsion and my screenshots, something isnt right, the edges look really weird, really jagged but im using alias isolation so wtf is going on

Have you tried tweaking shadowmap values and such?
The Law Oct 9, 2016 @ 12:27pm
Yeah, none of that helps, something is going on. My computer can handle 4k on any game perfectly so i know it's not a hardware issue

ugh i forgot the definition but its the same thing that happens with fences in video games at a distance, they tend to... get fugly because of it. gah my brains so failing right now.

and im not sure if there is a way to stop it in the game.

Yeah exactly my problem, anyone know how to fix?

* You have to disable chromatic abberation is using Alias Isolation, otherwise it can cause an issue with with anti-aliasing and it can actually smooth out things it shouldn't.
* Make sure you're using the latest version of the modded settings in my guide and that you are not using FXAA or SMAA T2X as those are NOT compatible with Alias Isolation mod.

I took a few shots just now...I forgot to turn off Film Grain, but you get the idea.

I've tried various settings, none of them achieve what you got in those photos or the ones online, the only time i got close was with dsr but even then i have odd jagged lines. Here are the screenshots

These screenshots here are with alias isolation, i set the chromatic abberation to 0 and off in game, sharpness was at 1. This is 4k max settings, i used your graphics tweak and this is what i got. Everything looks really jagged and ugly

Since those settings look odd for me i decided to try something different and go with 4x DSR on 4k without alias isolation. AA is 2x SMAA, chrom abb off, max settings. It looked a little better but wtf is going on with that sign at the top? the second image the fence looks a little smoother but there is an odd white jagged line across the yellow bar at the bottom

And this was taken with alias isolation and 4x DSR 4k. Chrom abb off and i lower the sharpness to like .75 and it looks a little better but the sharpness is what got me. The weird color lines on the sign are gone from the previous screenshot but now there are those black lines that move when the player moves. the second image the fence looks a little sharper then the previous image which doesnt really make it look realistic, but it did get rid of the weird white jagged line across the yellow bar.

Comparing all of these at once what do you suggest i do? Im trying to take screenshots but i want it to look realistic in game without those bad jagged lines and i want it to look smooth like the screenshots i took with just DSR 4x no alias isolation.

Maybe you have a forced AA set in nvidia control panel? I'd double check that and make sure to set 16x AF with triple buffering (yeah, it's for opengl only, but won't hurt).

TBH, the first screens look fine to me and those jaggies would not be noticible while playing instead of looking at the environments.

Yeah when im using alias isolation every setting it set right, i have AA on SMAA T1x and chromatic abb is off, and motion blur is on. What i found odd was when i click right on the AA setting, SMAA T 2x comes first and then i click right again and SMAA T 1x is selected at the last option, and that's with your modded file. Something isnt right man
