Mission saves and Key Items (Schematics, logs, tools)
Just finished the game, enjoyed it pretty well, going back for some of the achievements I missed now. Did the standard "load mission 16" to get the Nostromo logs available at that point, ended up getting a lot of schematics. My question is this: if I load the mission save for mission 17 to get the last log quicker, do I keep the schematics I gathered after beating the game but did not have when I first started mission 17?

Logs seems to stay with you regardless of jumping around the timeline with saves, but your available inventory tools do not, so how does that apply to schematics? Thanks in advance.

In my opinion there is no inconsistence, inventory is relevant for gameplay, logs and cards are not. They will be stored in a separate file named progression. ais.
Btw you can start your backtrack also at beginning of mission 17 by taking the elevator again, then you will face some interesting changes at seegson communications.

That didn't really answer my question. So if I skip to my mission save for 17, I'll lose all that upgrades that I collected in 16 after beating the game?

Archive your save files bro, otherwise they will be overwritten.

Yes, but technically you don't lose anything since you never had those when the mission save for Mission 17 was made.
