How about no one use G2A instead use green man gaming an actual legitimate site that doesn't use stolen keys or keys bought with stolen credit cards.
Nevertheless, there were two important events last year.
1. The switch version came out .... These can hardly sell at full price if you get the PC version during a sale for 5-10 €.
2. Since March 2019, Disney has owned 20th Century Fox ... now 20th Century Studios. Disney also wants some money back from its 52 billions. (That's the FOX deal)
@ Schizm ... How about not spreading false myths? There are enough serious shops and sellers.
There are also countries that have special laws and judgments on such topics. Germany, for example, has the so-called OEM judgment. This stipulates that digital goods that are legally in circulation always remain legal. This means that OEM versions, but also game keys, can be sold and bought quite legally.
And in general, the whole thing is called retail, which is why Steam classifies it exactly the same.
Your myth, like every myth, has a spark of truth in it, of course, but that's because there are fraudsters everywhere. You can also find them on Amazon, Ebay and Co. (example: fake carnivore seeds and plants, fake technology, false product descriptions and product images [there is a own subreddit for something like this] and much more - Do you avoid such shops or do you pay a little more attention to the details when shopping?)
But this is exactly what some are biting into, since they actually wanted to stamp out the used market through digitalization, but in the end they only opened the doors for the key market. And it is precisely these people who still claim that stores are generally bad and illegal or grey market.
The reputable sellers have their keys from sales, price errors, cheap countries like Turkey (Countries with weak currency) and other legal ways to save money. That's how a dealer acts. Buy cheap and sell at a profit. Larger stores also offer a refund if something happens illegally. Something that most people haven't needed for over a decade. What you should note, however, is that there are no refunds via Steam for retail keys. And don't buy gift-keys.... That's indeed against steam terms and can end in problems.
Already knew? Even in CD and DVD times, trucks and containers with loads (games) disappeared and were illegally sold.
What the actually ♥♥♥♥ are you going on about?
Are you bullshitting here? Are you seriously suggesting G2A is a legitimate site? G2A has no filter on where their keys come from, a lot of which are obtained 3rd party or through other dubious places such as stolen credit cards. It's why they have insurance on purchases which should be a red flag. There site is damaging to digital retail and the industry in general.
Kindly do no listen to this wind bag, purchase your keys from retailers like green man gaming or the humble bundle. By purchasing from G2A you have no guaranteed the key you are buying are from a legitimate source or not.
How about first we don't pretend G2A is a legitimate site.
But yeah, i would say BTT, no need to "ruin" this thread for a longer period. You know what I meant and I know what you meant, so everyone now knows.
