[HELP NEEDED] How to remove the HUD?
I am doing a short video project on Alien Isolation and I want it to be immersive as possible to make it look like a movie. How can you remove the entire HUD, but keep the item wheel ONLY.

Your help is appreciated, thank you.

You can play on Nightmare, which removes everything except the button prompts. This Nexus mod[www.nexusmods.com] claims to do the same, presumably making non-Nightmare look like Nightmare. I haven't used the mod but it has 166 unique downloads, and no comments, so my guess is it works as advertised.

I haven't done any Isolation modding, but this thread has links to a PAK file extractor you might use to edit the UI.PAK file under DATA in the Isolation folder.

Play in VR, keep the room cold, and play in nightmare mode.

Okay thanks, it will do. A pity though, there are some scenes I want to show from survivor mode, but that mod doesn't remove the timer and task checker.

Hey there! This is really long after the fact, I know, but I've spent a couple hours today trying to figure this out, and yours was one of the few threads I found discussing removing specifically the survival mode HUD.

I have managed to figure out how to do that, and on the off chance you or someone else might find this information useful, I'll share it here.

Firstly, download and install the No Hud mod linked by Fosley. Then, download and use OpenCAGE (The Open Source Alien Isolation Modding tool; there are other things with the same name that come up first if you google search just the name).

Use the "Game Asset Editor" -> "UI Import/Export" (to directly access UI.PAK without having to extract and recompile it) -> drill down into the file tree and delete CHALLENGELEADERBOARDCOMPONENT.GFX and CHALLENGEMAPOVERLAY.GFX files.

The game loads fine, loads the challenge maps just fine too, and in conjunction with all the rest of the UI being removed by the tweaks from the initial mod, it completely removes all hud from the challenge mode maps! One minor downside is that there's now no prompts for what you need to do in the level, and UI once you complete the map, but that's basically no issue considering anyone who wants this change likely wants it to record footage and that's it; completing the level is unneccesary.

Hopefully at least one other person finds this helpful!

Ey man, do you have the UI.PAK with the changes you mention? Can you upload it? Thanks in advance.
I'd like some way to remove the orange glowing on objects too, it is quite stupid.
